Structure of Seismic Support
There are three types of seismic support structures, namely lateral seismic support, longitudinal seismic support, and bidirectional seismic support.

seismic support
1. Lateral Seismic Support
Lateral seismic support refers to the oblique support added to the seismic support, with the horizontal projection direction perpendicular to the pipeline axis. Lateral seismic support is the most commonly used support method in the entire seismic support system, which is used to offset the load perpendicular to the pipeline direction in earthquake horizontal loads and prevent the lateral sway motion of the pipeline during earthquakes.
2. Longitudinal Seismic
Longitudinal seismic support refers to the support with a horizontal projection direction parallel to the pipeline axis. Longitudinal seismic supports are used to eliminate loads parallel to the pipeline direction in seismic horizontal loads and prevent overall longitudinal displacement of the pipeline during earthquakes. Unlike lateral seismic supports, the number of longitudinal seismic supports in the system is relatively small, and each straight pipe section should have at least one longitudinal support hanger.
3. Bidirectional Seismic Support
The support structure that combines the characteristics of both lateral and longitudinal seismic support forms is a bidirectional seismic support, also known as a four-way support. It is generally suitable for situations where there are many mechanical and electrical pipelines and the support bears a large load.
